Emotional Balance Exercises
Before starting the emotional balance exercises we first need to understand different types of emotions and what are primary and secondary emotions.
An individual’s Primary emotions are immediate, instinctive responses to a situation that arise directly from an event—they include feelings like joy, sadness, anger, fear, disgust, and surprise, which are universal and serve specific adaptive functions. Secondary emotions, by contrast, are more complex; they develop in reaction to the primary emotion itself, and are shaped by personal experience, beliefs, and the way an individual processes their initial feelings.
